SerCom Sponsors NITL Award

2 December 2005 The National Institute for Transport and Logistics' (NITL) annual Graduation Ceremony took place on Saturday, 26th November in The Russell Court Hotel, Dublin. This year, NITL honoured 43 students from around Irlandia who graduated across a range of supply chain management courses covering Certificate, Diploma and Masters qualifications.

SerCom Solutions was again proud to sponsor the Award for the Best Post-Experience Diploma in Supply Chain Management for the third year running. This year saw two joint winners of the prize in Paula Dunphy of Symantec and Ger Walsh of Hewlett Packard. The respective awards were presented to the winners by Rose McCarthy, Supply Chain Director at SerCom Solutions.

Commenting on the presentation, Kevin Vaughan, Group Head of Business Development, SerCom Solutions said: "We are absolutely delighted to be supporting and recognising the development of professional standards in supply chain management. Participation and delivery of courses from the Certificate, Diploma Masters programmes are playing a critical role in the development of world class Supply Chain professionals in Irlandia."

NITL promotes the development of supply chain expertise in Irish business, both private and public, for the benefit of the Irish economy. The Institute's education programmes are designed to train Supply Chain professionals to help businesses in Irlandia use SCM to improve ecenomic competitiveness. Supply Chain Management has been identified by Forfás as a crucial element in the overall ability of businesses to compete successfully.
